📣 Honouring Children and Youth in Care Day: CCAS Featured on CP24

May 14 is Children and Youth in Care Day in Ontario—a day to recognize the strength, resilience, and voices of young people with lived experience in the child welfare system.

This year, the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS) was featured on CP24 Breakfast to mark this important occasion. The segment highlights Karina, a former youth in care, who reflects on the support network that shaped her into the brave, upbeat, and resilient person she is today. Lisa Bishop, Director of Resource Services at CCAS, also shares insights on the vital need for increased awareness and support for children and youth in care.

This story is a powerful reminder of the impact that caregivers, child welfare professionals, and community allies have in helping young people thrive—and the continued importance of listening, supporting, and advocating.
