Broader Public Sector Accountability

The Government of Ontario passed the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Accountability Act in 2010, issuing two directives for all BPS organizations — a Procurement Directive and an Expenses Directive to be implemented by April 1, 2011.

As a BPS organization receiving operational funding from the Province of Ontario, the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto has adopted the Ontario Broader Public Sector Supply Code Chain of Ethics and has implemented policies governing procurement, expense reimbursement, and perquisites.

The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto joined a Service Agreement for Mohawk Medbuy to be our Contract and Procurement Shared Services Provider. The procurement activity for the Society will be facilitated by Mohawk Medbuy. All initiatives facilitated by Mohawk Medbuy are issued through the Bonfire E-Tendering Portal which can be found at the following link.
