Who We Are
The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS) is a trusted not-for-profit organization committed to protecting children and strengthening families across Toronto. Funded by the Province of Ontario and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we deliver child protection services under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) with compassion, professionalism, and respect for diversity.
Our work is guided by Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppressive Practice (ARAO), Catholic faith and identity, Evidence-Informed Practice (EIP), and Trauma-Informed approaches (TIP). These principles ensure that children, youth, and families are active participants in decisions that shape their lives.
Whenever possible, we focus on keeping children safe at home with their families. When safety cannot be maintained, we provide care that prioritizes well-being, cultural identity, and family connections.
