National Volunteer Week 2025: April 27 – May 3

Volunteers Make Waves – and at CCAS, our volunteers make waves that create ripples of lasting change.

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week 2025, we extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible individuals who give their time, heart, and energy to support children, youth, and families in our community.

At our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, Dionne Martin, our Director of Service, shared a powerful message: “Each act of service, no matter how small, adds to a larger movement of care and community… Your legacy of service lifts us all.”

Whether you drive a child to a visit, help with homework, mentor, or support our offices, you are building a more compassionate and connected world. From all of us at CCAS: Thank you for making waves. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for being part of our story.

As National Volunteer Week comes to an end, we’re proud to share this CTV News Toronto story featuring Verna Andrade, who has volunteered with CCAS for over 20 years, and Dylan Santos, our Volunteer Coordinator. Verna speaks about her deep passion for giving back, her love for children and youth, and what keeps her committed after two decades of service. She truly exemplifies the heart of volunteering and the values we hold at CCAS.
