We are proud to announce the appointment of Kevin Crigger as the new Chair of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS).
For Kevin, this appointment is more than a new leadership role—it is the continuation of a journey that began with CCAS more than four decades ago.
As an infant, Kevin’s life was forever changed through the support of CCAS. He was welcomed into the loving home of his parents, who had long hoped to build a family. Surrounded by love, faith, stability, and unwavering encouragement, he grew up with every opportunity to thrive.
As a young child, Kevin viewed his adoption not as something that made him different, but as something that made him special. In senior kindergarten, he proudly told his classmates:
“Your parents just had you. My parents picked me.”
That confidence was nurtured through the love of his family and the ongoing support, post-adoption services, and sense of community that CCAS provided throughout his childhood.
Reflecting on his journey, Kevin often tells CCAS stakeholders:
“I am here because of you.”
Those words are a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the staff, foster parents, adoptive families, volunteers, donors, parish communities, and supporters whose compassion changes the lives of children and families every day. Their work made a lasting difference in his life, and he remains deeply committed to ensuring future generations experience that same hope and opportunity.
Since joining the CCAS Board in 2022, Kevin has brought executive leadership, governance expertise, and a collaborative approach to advancing the organization’s mission. Professionally, he serves as Associate CEO of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) and President of PropTx Innovations Inc., where he helps lead one of North America’s largest professional associations and its technology subsidiary. Over more than two decades, he has built a career spanning entrepreneurship, executive leadership, and governance, with experience in strategic leadership, finance, technology, innovation, organizational transformation, and board governance that will help support CCAS as it continues to strengthen services for children, youth, and families.
Kevin also holds executive and governance credentials, including the ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management, the AccBD. designation through the Board Diversity Network, executive education from Harvard Business School, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
As Board Chair, Kevin brings a unique combination of strategic governance experience, executive leadership, and financial stewardship. His experience leading innovation and organizational transformation is complemented by a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement and community building. Most importantly, he brings a deeply personal understanding of adoption, permanency, and family support—an understanding shaped not only by professional service, but by lived experience. His leadership is grounded in compassion, faith, gratitude, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring every child and family has the opportunity to thrive.
Kevin’s appointment is a remarkable full-circle moment—from a child whose life was transformed through the care of CCAS to the Chair of the Board helping guide its future.
His story is a powerful reminder that the impact of CCAS extends far beyond today. Every child who finds safety, belonging, and hope through this organization has the potential to build a future that once seemed impossible. The investment made in children and families today creates stronger communities for generations to come.
We are honoured to welcome Kevin as Chair of the Board of Directors and look forward to the leadership, compassion, and vision he will bring to this next chapter.
Please join us in congratulating Kevin on this meaningful milestone.
