The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS) offers Duty to Report presentations to help professionals understand their legal obligations under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and how to recognize and respond to concerns about child safety and well-being.
These sessions are tailored for, but not limited to:
- Hospitals (especially Adolescent and Pediatric Units)
- School Boards (teachers, principals, and education staff)
- Police services
- Complex special needs organizations
- Community-based agencies
Our presentations explore key topics such as:
- When and how to make a report
- Equity in reporting practices
- Systemic barriers and overrepresentation in child welfare
- What to expect when you make a report to CCAS
